IPdraft

Offer your clients a route to their own UK patent draft

For firms that advise UK innovators. Clients decide what you can see; you see status, not invention content, unless they say otherwise.

Firms apply, accept current approved terms and receive an eligibility review before a referral link is issued. Clients explicitly accept an introduction and choose separate status, content and assessment permissions.

Assessments are preliminary, non-legal and do not include a prior-art search. Human-review holds block processing. Limits and availability must be approved before assessments run.

Partner drafting orders need an individually approved per-jurisdiction quote, acceptance, manually confirmed funding and the client's explicit conversion. No automated payment or filing is implied.

UK advisers and their clients

Accountants and advisers can help clients explore self-drafting and possible later Patent Box eligibility. Preliminary assessments are bounded AI analysis, not legal or tax advice or a prior-art search.

Patent Box can give qualifying company profits an effective 10% Corporation Tax rate. At the 25% main rate, £100,000 of qualifying profits would mean an illustrative £15,000 reduction compared with tax at 25%. This is a possible later benefit of a granted patent—not a saving delivered by buying an IPdraft draft.

Eligibility requires a granted qualifying patent, ownership or a qualifying exclusive licence, qualifying development, an election and qualifying profits. Group companies must meet active-ownership conditions. The R&D fraction and your applicable tax rate affect the calculation; not all company profits qualify.

Illustrative only. Grant can take years and is not guaranteed. Speak to your accountant. Not tax advice.
